Documantation for Gallery version 1.0
=====================================
Written in the 31.07.91 by Stephen Jones (BOD of TTK)
Gallery is a 'Shareware' slideshow for the Atari ST that has the
following features:
An editable scrolline on the title screen
(for greetings etc.)
Editable text information on the title screen
(for name of slideshow, credits etc.)
Mad Max music on the title screen and during
the slideshow
Ramdisk Animation (Degas compressed, uncompressed
and NEOchrome only!)
The following pictures are what Gallery will load in:
Spectrum 512 (Uncompressed)
Spectrum 512 (Compressed)
Degas (Compressed)
Degas (Uncompressed)
and NEOchrome
The above pictures can be packed with Pack-Ice 2.40 (Hi axe!!!) which
I have included on the disk and can be packed with additional
picture compression ON or OFF!!!
If you wish to change the scrolltext on the title screen all you have
to do it write you scrolltext in some text editor that saves in ASCII
and save it with the filename 'SCROLL.TXT' in the root directory if
your booting this from an AUTO-Folder or in the same directory as
GALLERY.PRG if double clicking on the program from the dekstop.
If you want to change the text information on the title screen do the
same as above, but save it as 'TEXT.TXT'. Remeber to use a "/" character
to mark the end of a line and that you only have 40 characters per-line
and 23 lines on the screen.
You can press the following keys while in this program:
F1-F10 This selects a tune while displaying
the pictures
1-0 This sets how long the pictures are
to be displayed (1 being the fastest
and 0 being the slowest)
'ESC' Pressing this at any time will quit
from Gallery
This program supports Ramdisk animation providing you don't make the
Ramdisk drastically bigger than what you need. This program should
work from a Harddisk, although I haven't tried it.
Ok, now it's up to you to make some good slideshow demos!
This program is 'Shareware'. If you use it (Please be honest!) then
send a fiver to the following address...
